Skegness Councillor, Steve O’Dare has been appointed Portfolio Holder for the Environment at East Lindsey District Council.
The position was previously held by Councillor Steve Newton, who sadly passed away earlier this month.
Taking the position with immediate effect, Councillor O’Dare will be responsible for a range of services delivered by the District Council including waste collections, car parking, street cleaning, public toilets and markets.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Doreen Stephenson, said: “I am pleased to have appointed Cllr O’Dare to the Executive Board to oversee a wide range of local services, many of which have a major impact on the lives of local people.”
Speaking of his appointment, Councillor O’Dare, said: “I join the Executive Board at an exciting but challenging time. I look forward to working with fellow Councillors and local people in delivering my portfolio responsibilities.”
