Discover what delights lie right on your doorstep during English Tourism Week
WHAT better time to discover the various attractions and tourism highlights within East Lindsey than during English Tourism Week?
East Lindsey District Council is taking part in the week-long celebration from March 29 to April 6, showcasing the quality and vibrancy of the District’s visitor experiences and the value this industry brings to the nation.
During the week the Council will be highlighting the importance of tourism to the District and increasing awareness amongst consumers, including local residents, who can discover just what the District has to offer.
On Monday, March 31, the Council’s Tourism Team will be hosting a live Facebook chat between 10am and noon on the Visit East Lincolnshire page. A county-wide leaflet swap will be taking place on Tuesday, April 1, at Bainland Country Park.
On Wednesday, April 2, the Tourism team will be back on Facebook, this time between 2-4pm, hosting a live chat on the Visit East Lincolnshire page. And, the team can be found on Mablethorpe Market on Thursday, April 3, and Louth Market on Friday, April 4.
The Council’s Portfolio holder for Economic Development, Councillor Craig Leyland, said “English Tourism Week is the perfect time to find out more about what is happening on your very own doorstep – things you never realised were there before. You do not need to travel very far to find both well-known tourism hotspots as well as lesser known attractions.”
