Changes to Refuse Collections
From 17th February 2014, East Lindsey District Council will change the way they collect waste to help save £400,000.
Grey and black bins will still be collected on alternate weeks but the changes are:
Longer Collection Day:
Bins will be emptied between 5:30am and 5:30pm meaning residents could see their bins emptied earlier or later than at present. This means that bins must be presented the evening of the day before collection.
Change of Collection Days:
Some residents will see changes to the day that their bins are collected which could mean some disruption during the change over period. The Council remains committed to keeping this disruption to a minimum.
In-cab Technology:
New in-cab technology will offer more flexibility, a reduction in the Council’s carbon footprint and more efficient ways of working. This could mean that bins are emptied at different times each week depending upon the route taken on that occasion.
