More than 57,000 households in East Lindsey have already registered to vote in future elections, but has yours?
ALL residents in East Lindsey need to respond to the District Council’s electoral registration process to ensure they are able to vote in future elections such as this May’s European election.
All households should have received an electoral registration form last year which must be acted upon as there is a legal requirement for all residents to respond. If you have not received a registration form it is important that you contact the Council on to request one as soon as possible.
Already, 57,318 households within the District have responded, but there are still 7,472 which have not.
The Council’s Chief Executive and Returning Officer, Stuart Davy, said: “It is important that all residents respond to this registration. Even if all of the details are correct, you must respond to let us know that. Thank you to all of those who have already responded.”
If there are no changes you can respond by phone, online or by SMS response, all detailed on the form, but only until January 31. From February 1, all responses need to be returned to the Council by post, even if there are no changes.
